On Friday 12th Feb 2021, Caroline Wanjiku walked out of Co-operative Bank Stima Plaza in Ngara having withdrawn Ksh 350K from her account
As a businesswoman she was about to do the famous use money to make money move whereby
She was going to meet her friend, Edwin Odiwuor, who would help boost her shares at the bank's Sacco in order to secure a bigger loan to solve her monetary problems that troubled her...
Edwin had proven himself to be a friend who caroline could trust Not knowing that he was nothing but a small time crook who masqueraded as a tenderpreneur to con innocent Kenyans.
His only intention was to steal from her & leave her missing b/c of her money ..
But how did we get here, here's the gist. Carolyn Wanjiku was a 38 year business lady from Embu. According to her Facebook page, she was a full time mom to her 2 handsome boys who were the center of her world as single mom
. Quitting her 6yr long loans officer job at Cooperative bank in Embu and venturing into the business world of Real Estate under her own company Dunmore Realtors...
. Something that she was successful at because of her excellent marketing skills & business experience that made her a favorite amongst real estate clients.
Moreover her wit & great interpersonal skills enabled her to maintain valuable relationships with people. Both personally and in the business world, friends who would not only share her joy when life was good but also mentioned her in tables she was not present to help her grow in business because what are friends for
. Caroline agreed like the shrewd business lady she was since she had also added 2 more business partners into the deal to help raise the money to service the tender.
As a former loans officer she convinced her new partner Steve Oduor to risk the most by. Giving away the logbook of his car to a shylock so as to get loaned the amount required to service the tender promising that after they were paid he'd get his log book & share of the money as agreed.
Gladly they were oiled & work began perfectly from start to completion. However, as it is with government tenders, payment delayed in their usual fashion moving past the agreed loan period granted by the shylock.
This left the loan shark with no option but to threaten repossession of Steve's car sth that angered him but. Caro momentarily calmed down the situation by making her own payments as she waited for the big cheque from the county.
This cheque landed in her bank account on Feb 2021 and finally she felt a sigh of relief relax her body as she watched the millions in her account. Millions that invited the devil into her mind during that relaxing moment and misadvising her into going against the agreed split percentages with her partners.
As the winner of the tender( one who came up with the idea) she felt entitled to a bigger share of the doe.. Sth that did not go well with her partners who felt like equals.
They felt shortchanged & tried to change her mind but Carol had already decided it's either her way or her way only !!
Buying herself a new car despite the bad blood & crushing their business rlshp into a pit of conflict whereby she constantly received threatening text messages from them warning her that she'd face the music...
Sth that bothered her into looking for alternatives.
Of multiplying the money in order to be able to pay her disgruntled partners who were baying for her blood.
This led her into the cunning arms of Edwin Otieno who as a tenderpreneur had promised to help double her shares at Cooperative Bank Sacco. Ushering a new episode of torture metted unto Carol through breaking her wrists & hips thinking that's she'd give away the money as they drove past Museum Hill into Naivasha Road..
Sadly Carol remained strong in pain like a star in a movie. So the unsuccessful crooks panicked & opted to end her life by hitting her head endlessly with a blunt object to death
Later on they dumped her body at a thicket in Kajiado and sold her 2 phones unsuspecting buyers.... 1 phones that's of Oppo make would later be tracked to a highschool student in Kisii who revealed that he had bought it from his uncle who was also found in possession of the other phone
The uncle now sits in court answering to murder charges alongside Edwin
